We'll meet next to the Monastery of San Juan de Duero, where the poet Gustavo Adolfo Bécquer will be waiting for us, along with our tour guide.
On this tour, we'll fully immerse ourselves in a setting of legends, romance, and history as we stroll through one of the most beautiful enclaves in the entire city: the promenade along the banks of the Douro River.
With our tour guide, we'll have the opportunity to visit two of the city's most beautiful and must-see monuments. We'll start by learning about the history of the Monastery of San Juan de Duero, with a cloister that's unique in the entire Peninsula, and we'll end at the Hermitage of San Saturio, which is perched on the rock, passing by the remains of the Monastery of San Polo beforehand.
We'll have the opportunity to walk along the Paseo de los Enamorados, which gave birth to the verses of Antonio Machado and Gerardo Diego, as well as the legends of Bécquer.
If you're passionate about poetry and nature, and you've also come to learn about the history and origins of the city, this tour is perfect for you. Will you miss out?
