The Yámana people, indigenous inhabitants of this region, were well aware of the virtues of this area. For millennia, they inhabited its coasts, obtaining everything they needed to live in perfect harmony with their environment from the land and sea. It may be hard to imagine, but just 150 years ago, they were the only inhabitants of this area. Today, the beauty of this majestic place is no longer a secret, making it one of the most visited National Parks in Argentina.
Exploring the park in the afternoon offers us the opportunity to make the most of the daylight, which extends until around 11 pm during the summer, and immerse ourselves in the tranquility of its nature, avoiding the crowds caused by large tourist groups. We will learn about the history of the native cultures that inhabited the region and discover ancient archaeological sites that pinpoint the exact locations where these families lived. We will be able to sit in the exact same spot, see the same landscape, and hear the same sounds they heard for thousands of years.
As the evening approaches, we will head to a cozy structural dome where we will enjoy a delicious dinner. There, we can relax and savor a specially designed menu with regional ingredients while sharing the sunset by candlelight and engaging in warm conversation.
This excursion has been designed to offer travelers a complete experience, from exploring the landscapes to connecting with the nature and history of the place. All you need is the appropriate outdoor attire, a positive attitude towards nature, an adventurous spirit, and a willingness to be enchanted by the magic of Tierra del Fuego National Park.
