• Explore one of London’s most notorious plague pits, dating back to the Black Death
• Hear about the grisly fate of the monks at the Charterhouse monastery
• Discover Smithfield, the site of some of the bloodiest executions in England’s history. Home to a market for over a thousand years, it was once notorious as a centre of criminal activity, during Dickens’s lifetime. It was used as a filling location for Skyfall, Closer, Snatch and Sherlock
• Enjoy a beer at a pub frequented by 19th century ‘resurrection men’ (body snatchers), haunted by the ghost of one of their victims
