  • Explore the Battle of Arnhem on a private WWII journey with Dutch historical researcher and storyteller Martin van Elmpt of Tour Guides for You.

    We follow the British 1st Airborne Division from the landing zones around Oosterbeek towards Arnhem and John Frost Bridge, visiting key battlefield locations while reconstructing what happened through original photographs, maps and personal stories.

    Rather than simply moving from monument to monument, we look at the decisions, fighting and individual experiences behind the battle, including the soldiers and civilians caught up in it.

    This is a private historical journey, adapted to your pace, interests and knowledge. If you have a family connection, specific soldier or unit you want to investigate, tell me in advance: where possible, I can incorporate that story into the route.
