Circuit hike through the mystical Anaga mountain range

Discover what makes the Anaga Mountains so unique in the world – a mountain range that is 7–9 million years old and has formed amazing landforms.

Immerse yourself in the laurel forest, whose moss-covered trees, ferns, and wisps of fog create an almost fairy-tale atmosphere.
Experience breathtaking views of deep valleys and steep canyons.

Along the way, you will learn a lot about Tenerife's volcanic origins and the culture and history of the indigenous Guanche people.

We start in Las Mercedes at “Plaza de las Mercedes” – the starting point of our round trip tour through the evergreen fairytale forest.

Equipment recommendations

• Hiking shoes – ensure a secure grip on rocky, slippery paths
• At least 1L of water – For the physically demanding, mountainous route
• Wind and rain protection – The mountains are often shrouded in fog or rain due to trade wind clouds
• Warm clothing – It can be significantly cooler at the highest point at about 1,000 m
• Hiking poles – optional but helpful – can be rented from the guide

Please bring weatherproof clothing, especially warm clothing and rain protection, as the climate in the Anaga Mountains can often be cool and humid. In addition, we recommend bringing enough water to be well supplied during the hike.

The tour generally takes place as planned – except in cases of force majeure, official closures by the island government, or cancellation by the guide. The guide also reserves the right to flexibly adapt the route or the itinerary of the hike to the weather conditions and the physical condition of the participants in order to ensure the safety and well-being of all.

If the hike is canceled by the guide, the customer will receive a full refund of the amount.
