What you can expect

Begin your journey by driving through the rolling Teesdale countryside, making your first stop at the spectacular High Force waterfall, England's highest. Afterwards, visit the Bowlees Visitor Centre, the ideal gateway to explore the North Pennines AONB and UNESCO Geopark.

Drive back along the Tees for a lunch break at the quaint market town of Middleton-in-Teesdale. Enjoy some of the excellent cafés and restaurants and take some free time in the village.

Spend the afternoon in the splendid Raby Castle. Once home to the powerful Neville Family, it has a fascinating and colorful history. Take a self-guided tour, or opt to expand to a full guided tour from one of the castle guides.
