Day 1: Tangier – Chefchaouen – Fez
Your adventure begins with a morning pickup from Tangier around 10 or 10:30. Drive through the scenic Rif Mountains to reach the beautiful blue city of Chefchaouen. Enjoy a guided visit (with the group if the minimum number is met) or a self-paced visit through its charming blue-painted streets, lively squares, and local artisan shops. After a short tour and free time for lunch, continue your journey towards Fez, arriving in the evening. Overnight in Fez.
Day 2: Fez – Ifrane – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Merzouga Desert
After breakfast, depart from Fez around 7h30 and travel through the Middle Atlas Mountains. Pass by Ifrane, often called the “Switzerland of Morocco,” and the cedar forest of Azrou, home to Barbary macaques. Stop in Midelt for lunch, then continue through the scenic Ziz Valley. Upon arrival in Merzouga, enjoy a camel ride through the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi to watch the sunset. Spend the night in a traditional desert camp under the stars, with dinner and then music by the campfire.
Overnight in Merzouga (Desert Camp).
Day 3: Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley – Marrakech
Wake up early to watch the sunrise over the dunes (optional); then you will have your breakfast in order to begin your journey to Marrakech (please note it is over a 10-hour drive; there will be stops for lunch and bathrooms only). Passing through the Dades Valley and the famous “Road of a Thousand Kasbahs.” Continuing your drive to Marrakech via Ouarzazate and the High Atlas, we reach Marrakech for the end of the tour, arriving in the evening around 20:00 or 21:00 more or less.
The drop off will be at your hotel if accessible by vehicles, if a riad you will be dropped off at the nearest point.
