Our Authentic Sumo Experience has been produced by Netflix “Sanctuary” Sumo Director: Takeshi Amitani. With this experience, you can practice authentic sumo wrestling with real sumo wrestlers. Enjoy Unique Martial Arts “Budo” Sports Class in Tokyo, Japan!

The experience is on a mat, not in a sumo ring. There is no need to wash the dirt off your feet afterwards, making it easy and quick.

Participation is open to everyone. We gladly embrace beginners, individuals of all genders, children, members of the LGBT+ community, Muslims, and many others.

  • 【Photographs and Videos Rules during the Sumo Experience】 ・You are most welcome to take photographs and videos share them on social media during your sumo experience with us, provided that you observe the following guidelines: (1) Do not film in a way that interferes with the sumo experience for other participants, including observers. (2) We would kindly ask that you refrain from filming any participants who have not given their permission to be recorded. (3) Do not film people who are not allowed to film, as specified by us.
  • 【Rules during the Sumo Experience】 ・Please follow the instructions during the lesson. ・Lesson times may vary slightly. Please come with plenty of time to spare. ・Pants will be provided for those who need them. ・Shower facilities are available at 100 yen per 5 minutes. ・Please bring a towel and change of clothes. ・Please remove your glasses or replace them with contact lenses. ・We are not responsible for any loss or damage.
  • 【Injuries and Accidents】 We will do our best to prevent injuries and accidents during the Sumo Experience. (it has not happened in the past) If an injury or accident unfortunately occur during the instruction or use of the facilities during the Sumo Experience, the maximum amount of compensation we have responsibility for damages is the amount paid by you for the injury or accident. However, this excludes cases of intentional or gross negligence on the part of us.

For your comfort, we recommend wearing sports leggings or similar clothing underneath. T-shirts are optional, so feel free to wear one if you'd like!
