The Viking Museum is an interactive museum that tells the story of Viking Age Scandinavia – from brave seafarers to the people who stayed at home at the farms. Here you get to learn about one of history’s most mythical periods in innovative ways – through movies, artifacts and scenic environments. There are several guided tours in English everyday, held by knowledgeable guides in Viking age attire.
The Viking Museum has its own ride, Ragnfrid’s saga – an adventure filled story about a Viking Age family and raiding in 10th century Europe. The ride takes eleven minutes and is available in nine languages.
Inside The Viking Museum you will also find the newly opened Eld restaurant. The menu offers quality dishes with Nordic influences and is always based on seasonal produce. There is a wide selection of organic pastries, buns and cookies for those in the mood for Swedish fika.
Information about opening hours and prices can be found on the museum’s website.
