Experience Faber-Castell!
At its headquarters in Stein, the traditional company Faber-Castell offers exciting sightseeing opportunities: Faber-Castell's castle, the production of the wood-cased pencils, the “Old Mine” museum and the special guided tour on the subject of “Castle as Press Camp”.
A walking tour of Count von Faber-Castell's castle allows visitors to experience the liaison between the industrial spirit of progress and the traditional values of the German nobility. The exterior façade with its Romanesque arches and columns, round and corner towers has a medieval feel. Inside, there is an impressive variety of stylistic periods, from Romanesque, Gothic and Renaissance to Empire, Classicism and Art Nouveau. An exhibition also bears witness to the family and company history of Faber-Castell spanning over 260 years.
