What you can expect

Discover the best of Krumau on a guided tour in German. See and hear about the most important parts of the city's history and present.

Český Krumlov, also known as Krumau, is a world-famous tourist destination in South Bohemia. It was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1992. The old town has been preserved in its original medieval state and is a unique example of a typical Central European city of medieval origin.

The old town is home to around 300 protected objects, including the central market square and the Church of St. Vitus. Krumau was once the seat of several wealthy noble families, and this is evidenced by the local castle residence, which is one of the most extensive in Central Europe and has also been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
