What you can expect
Important opening note
The selected products are fresh, local, and of the highest quality. To meet quality standards, we pay close attention to seasonality. This means that, depending on the season, there may be slight variations in the tasting experience, ensuring that the products are not greenhouse-grown but truly fresh.
Furthermore, this is a genuine cultural tasting tour, but also an immersive culinary journey that is equivalent to a full lunch. Don't book lunch after our tour; you'll leave with a full belly!
Tour Menu and Schedule:
1) Meeting at the designated meeting point
2) Introduction to the tour and the history of the products offered: the history of the Sorrento tomato and its specific organoleptic properties, the Caprese salad, the cultivation of the Ninucciola olive, and the flavored oils offered during the tasting.
Then we move on to the tasting:
3) Caprese salad, made with Sorrento tomatoes and mozzarella, dressed with local flavored oil and fresh basil. All accompanied by a tasting of balsamic vinegar and selected flavored olive oils (classic extra-virgin olive oil, chili pepper oil, or oil flavored with lemon or basil).
You will be able to dress your Caprese salad to your liking, using the PDO oils included in the tasting.
There will then be a tasting of traditional local products:
4) A selection of cured meats (Parma ham, Neapolitan salami, pancetta), olives, a selection of aged cheeses, walnuts, and sun-dried tomatoes, accompanied by fresh bread and a selection of truffle spreads served on crostini (toasted bread).
5) We will then move to a small garden near the tasting location to see the Sorrento and Amalfi lemons up close and learn more about their unique organoleptic properties.
6) We will then return to the tasting location for a detailed explanation of the history and production methods of limoncello, demonstrating the various stages and infusion processes. We will then move on to a tasting of limoncello and other traditional liqueurs (lemon cream, melon cream liqueur, or pistachio cream liqueur),
accompanied by a small dessert or a small rum baba, limoncello baba, coffee liqueur baba, or mandarin liqueur baba.
