What you can expect

  • Come with us on a thrilling chase for the northern lights by Super Jeep where you'll experience comfort while on an expedition to see one of nature's most incredible phenomenons. This small-group tour in search of the Northern Lights—or Aurora Borealis departs from Reykjavík where you'll be picked up from a location close to your accommodation. We''ll leave the city lights behind and head into the Icelandic countryside, where the dark skies will give you the best chance to view the aurora. We'll be taking a modified Super Jeep 4x4,designed to take on the rugged roads of Iceland, in hopes of glimpsing the dazzling atmospheric show with the help of a friendly and knowledgeable guide.

    While you cruise beyond the Reykjavik city limits, learn about the Northern Lights—absorbing the science and mythology that have been used to explain the way the colors dance across the night sky. Once you reach the viewing location, you'll enjoy a but of hot chocolate and a sweet treat. Peer into your guide's astronomical telescope and glimpse twinkling stars, shining planets, and the lunar landscape during your evening adventure.

    This exciting adventure is approximately 4 hours in duration, your guide will research the best location for a possibility of seeing the northern lights and will monitor throughout your tour. We provide hot chocolate, small icelandic treats, warm blankets and an opportunity for you to get your photo taken with the Northern Lights!
