Maui Dragon Fruit Farm is a 27 acre USDA certified organic farm and the first commercial dragon fruit farm on Maui. It cultivates multiple varieties of dragon fruit as well as other tropical fruits including pineapple, papaya, cacao, soursop, lychee, sapote, jackfruit, mango, and various citrus such as Buddha’s hand and Satsuma.
Your guided walking tour shares West Maui’s agricultural history, Hawaiian fauna, the farm’s founding story, and the health benefits of the fruits grown on site. A variety of locally grown, freshly picked tropical fruits are included in your tasting.
Taste Maui’s exotic tropical fruits and learn about the growing process behind the island’s distinctive flavors. Enjoy refreshing dragon fruit drinks and locally made kombuchas in flavors such as pineapple ginger, lemongrass mint basil, and guava pineapple.
Depending on the season, your tasting may include fruits such as dragon fruit, pineapple, papaya, banana, soursop, starfruit, lilikoi, guava, sapote, sapodilla, mango, avocado, and sugarcane. When coconuts are available, you can also learn how to open one and drink fresh coconut water. You’ll also hear about the farm’s history, organic farming practices, and the benefits of the fruits grown here.
Maui Mountain Cafe, located on site, features Hawaiian grown coffee drinks, healthy smoothies, tropical fruit shave ice, snacks, and treats. Enjoy a 180 degree ocean view and the West Maui Mountains while sipping freshly brewed coffee or kombucha.
As you stroll around the farm with our friendly guides, you’ll be surrounded by natural beauty, ocean views of the Pacific, and the West Maui Mountains.
This tour is family friendly and a great way to enjoy time together. Closed toe shoes are recommended. Bring a hat and sunscreen, as the farm is sunny most of the time.
