What you can expect

  • Experience an unforgettable Pompeii Day Trip from Rome with comfortable hotel pick-up from Rome city centre (if selected), a round-trip deluxe coach transportation, and the optional expertise of a professional guide.

Depending on your selected travel date, this full-day excursion may include a scenic stop in Sorrento with free time and a traditional limoncello tasting, or a more immersive journey focused entirely on an extended exploration of Pompeii.

You will join a fabulous day trip to Pompeii from Rome, combining comfort, culture, and expert narration. Travel on a modern coach, skip the lines at the archaeological site, and dive into the history of ancient Rome, either with or without the explanations of a professional licensed guide.

Please note: the itinerary and inclusions of the tour vary depending on the selected travel date.

    Until 31 October

Depart from Rome and journey through the Italian countryside towards southern Italy. Enjoy a scenic drive showcasing stunning coastal views before reaching Sorrento, a charming seaside town. Spend free time wandering its streets, visiting artisan boutiques, and taking in panoramic vistas. A stop at a local producer introduces you to the region with a limoncello tasting.

Continue to Pompeii, where you’ll either meet a professional guide (if the guided options are purchased), or you will get your entrance ticket (valid for the independent day trip option) and start a fascinating exploration of one of the world’s most famous archaeological sites. Walk through ancient streets, admire preserved villas, and discover everyday life before the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD. After the guided tour, relax during the return trip to Rome.

    From 2 November

Start your day heading directly from Rome to Pompeii, optimizing your time for a more in-depth historical experience. Upon arrival, you’ll either join a licensed guide (if the guided options are purchased), or you will get your entrance ticket (valid for the independent day trip option) for an extended visit of approximately 2.5 hours within the Pompeii Archaeological Site.

Explore remarkably preserved ruins, frescoes, and public spaces, gaining deeper insight into ancient Roman civilization.

Following the guided visit, enjoy some more free time before departing for Rome. This streamlined itinerary ensures a more immersive and uninterrupted visit.
