What you can expect

  • The Louvre holds one of the world's richest art collections, and this guided tour is built to help you actually make sense of it. Accompanied by an expert guide, you'll explore the museum's essential sections across three hours, covering masterworks that span more than two thousand years of art history.

Discover the palace's foundations at the moat, then wander among the collection of Classical Greek statues to find the mysterious Venus de Milo and the triumphant Winged Victory of Samothrace.

Marvel at the stunningly sculpted Cupid & Psyche and Michelangelo's Slaves, and get drawn into a pivotal moment in French history as you gaze upon Delacroix's Liberty Leading the People. Study the masterpieces of Caravaggio, Raphael, and da Vinci, and admire the Romantic finesse of Géricault's The Raft of Medusa.

To finish, your guide leads you to the Salle des États, sharing the story and context of the Mona Lisa just outside the room. Once inside, you're free to take in the small but monumental portrait at your own pace, absorbing the detail of the lady's endlessly analyzed expression, before rejoining your guide to conclude the tour together.

Please note: Louvre Museum entry (28 EUR per person) is included in this tour's price. Visitors under 18 and EEA residents under 26 can visit the Louvre free of charge with valid ID and proof of residency, outside of a group tour.
