Amazon Jungle Expedition – 3-Day Tailor-Made Adventure
Day 1 – Into the Jungle
Pick-up at the airport or your hotel, leave your bulky luggage and drive through the town to the market square, enjoy a snack, and then a boat cruise on the Amazon River (approximately 2 hours) to Puerto Nariño.
Drive through the village to The Base (terrace, restaurant, hammocs, toilets showers and clothing cleaning services), where you'll set up and prepare your equipment (approximately 2 hours).
Enjoy a typical Amazonian meal.
Afternoon: Forest hike (3 hours) through the nature reserve: nature interpretation and wildlife observation with your bilingual guide.
Arrive at your private cabin in the primary forest and enjoy a traditional Amazonian dinner.
Evening: Night walk with a local Spanish-speaking expert (approximately 1 hour). Observe tarantulas, frogs, phosphorescent mushrooms, and much more.
Overnight in the cabin in the heart of the jungle, with private rooms, shower, kitchen, candle lighting, and solar lamps.
Day 2 – River & Wildlife Exploration
Breakfast at 8:00 a.m.: bread, ham, cheese, eggs, cake, coffe and fruit juice.
Morning hike in the jungle (2 hours) with a local bilingual guide.
Return The Base: shower, laundry, and relaxation.
Lunch: fish, chicken, omelets or vegarian food.
From 2:00 p.m., departure by boat to observe pink dolphins, tucuxi, eagles, kingfishers, and other river species.
Arrival in a lakeside village (4:00 p.m.), check-in to your next cabin, and explore the surrounding area on foot.
At 5:00 p.m., canoe excursion with a local spanish-speaking guide specializing in nighttime experiences: sunset over the lake, caimans, and stargazing until 7:00 p.m.
Amazonian dinner and overnight stay in a lakeside cabin.
Day 3 – Cross-Border Nature Reserve
Breakfast at 8:00 a.m, then a canoe trip across the Amazon to a Peruvian nature reserve with a native guide and translator.
Observe sloths, monkeys, tropical birds, and perhaps capybaras or iguanas.
Return for lunch and preparation for departure.
Return by boat to Leticia in the afternoon.
Arrival at 5:30 p.m.
Collect your luggage left.
