Overview

This is a short sample of a system that once linked many countries in South America. It includes a 6-hour hike, where you will experience walking a trail built and used many centuries ago. Cultivation terraces, dwellings, temples and viewpoints will be part of our experience. We rest in a hotel in Machupicchu town and the second day we have a full excursion of Machupícchu archaeological site.

Our adventure starts very early. After pick you up from the hotel in Cusco or sacred valley, we transfer you by a private car to the train station in Ollantaytambo to board the train to Machupícchu, we will get off the train at km 104, to begin our hiking adventure. Crossing the Urubamba River by a bridge we arrive to Chachabamba, it is an archaeological site also a park ranger station, here we will register our entrance to Machupícchu Sanctuary and go to receive instructions for the trail. In the way we enjoy archaeological and natural places until reach Wiñayhuayna, impressive archaeological site with terraces or agricultural platforms until this section will require at least 3 hours.

Machu Picchu

Early in the morning we regroup to return to the Machupícchu Sanctuary. This is a World Heritage Site (UNESCO) and one of the Seven Wonders of the World. In the morning we will make a complete tour of the Inca city. Houses, squares, terraces, viewpoints, temples and spectacular views will be part of our experience. After the tour we take the bus to return to Machupicchu town. In the afternoon we return to Cusco, via train and car.
