What you can expect

Embark on a hiking tour to the Taradevi Temple, dedicated to the local Goddess, and built more than 250 years ago. Enjoy the scenic views of Shimla and Shoghi as you hike through the natural paths of the jungle.

Hike Starts from Taradevi Railway Station. Walk through the natural paths and see Deodar trees, pine trees, rhododendron trees, and many other trees and plants of medicinal and ornamental value.

Reach the temple and see the two big temples. The first one has fewer people and more monkeys as its on top of the hill. The next temple is where the Godess is placed. The temple interiors are simple and the entrance has intricate wood carvings.

On Sundays, there is langar/food community service where you can indulge in simple food made with sincerity and great flavours. Sit in solitude and enjoy some alone time while enjoying the stunning view of hills. If with a family, have a small picnic on the same spot.

On the way back we descend via Ancient Shiv Temple which is in middle of the forest, You get immense peace and spiritual enlightenment by visiting this place.

The descend ends at the Tara Devi Railway Station from where we began.
