What you can expect

Meet your private guide at your central Shanghai hotel at your preferred time. City Cycling along the Huangpu River (Shanghai’s mother river) starts from the West Bund. Our private guide will lead you visit to iconic venues like Maritime Tower Square, Xuhui Riverside, Long Museum, Riverside Community Canteen, Lupu Bridge and Shanghai Museum of Contemporary Art, showcasing the area's transformation from industrial zones to cultural and art hubs.

  1. Maritime Tower Square of West Bund
The Maritime Tower, built in the 1920s, once served as the headquarters of the Shanghai Port Authority and is now a symbol of Shanghai’s maritime legacy. Enjoy stunning views of the Huangpu River. It’s the perfect spot for a relaxing stroll or a photo session of the iconic cityscape.

  2. Long museum
After passing The Marine Tower, we will stop at Long Museum. The museum's site was originally a coal wharf, a key industrial facility along the Huangpu River. The remnants of this industrial past, such as gantry cranes and railway tracks, have been seamlessly integrated into the museum's modern architectural design.

  3. Xuhui Riverside Planning Exhibition Center
The community service center offers services such as library, exhibitions and health stations. We can stop at local cafes or community canteens to experience authentic Shanghai flavors.

  4. Lupu bridge
Lupu Bridge is one of Shanghai's iconic bridges, spanning the Huangpu River. Completed in 2003, it is one steel-arch bridge, with a main span of 550 meters.

  5. Shanghai Huang Pu Riverside
This area was once home to the Jiangnan Shipyard, established in the 1860s, which played a significant role in China's industrial history. The shipyard witnessed Shanghai's urbanization and China's journey from colonial struggles to becoming an industrial power. The Shanghai Submarine Exhibition Hall, located along the river, offers a unique glimpse into naval history. Opposite the exhibition hall, visitors can enjoy panoramic views of the Pudong skyline, including the Shanghai Expo Center, which was a key venue during the 2010 Expo.

  6. Shanghai Museum of Contemporary Art
The Shanghai Museum of Contemporary Art is located along the Huangpu River and was established in 2012, as China's first state-owned contemporary art museum. The museum is housed in a former power plant that dates back to 1897 and was transformed into the “City of the Future” pavilion for the 2010 Shanghai Expo.

  7. Nanpu Bridge
The Nanpu Bridge is one of Shanghai's iconic landmarks, spanning the Huangpu River and connecting the Puxi and Pudong districts. Completed in 1991, it was the first bridge to cross the Huangpu River from central Shanghai, significantly boosting the development of the Pudong area. The bridge is a cable-stayed structure with a main span of 423 meters and a total length of 8,346 meters.

After the tour, you will be dropped off back to your downtown hotel or other downtown area as per your request.
