What you can expect

  • In the shadow of the red light!
Here, sin and crime go hand in hand. We don't have a Reeperbahn in Düsseldorf, but did you know that one of the most famous sex workers of the post-war period came from Düsseldorf? Have you ever heard of the “prostitution menace”? What was the “vice squad” responsible for? How were sexually transmitted diseases handled in old Düsseldorf?

On this tour, we'll tell you the facts that are bathed in red light: What laws applied to “loose women” in 1878, what role morality played, and what scandals took place in our beautiful city.

Only available for those aged 18+!
