What you can expect
Explore Seochon, a charming hidden gem in Seoul where royal history, trendy local culture, and traditional life coexist. This relaxed 3-hour and 20-minute flat walking tour is perfect for everyone looking for an authentic local experience away from the crowds.
We start at Gyeongbokgung Station (Exit 4) at 10:30 AM and head to the Blue House Fountain Plaza. Enjoy panoramic views of the former presidential palace and Mount Bugak while learning about modern Korean history.
Next, we visit Tongin Market. You can trade authentic brass coins to taste various local street foods and build your own lunchbox during a full 1-hour relaxed lunch break.
Afterward, we stroll through the peaceful Seochon Hanok Alleys to visit Daeo Bookstore, Seoul’s oldest vintage bookstore (est. 1951). It is the perfect spot to capture a retro atmosphere and feel the nostalgic heart of old Seoul.
We then enjoy a leisurely walk down Seochon's trendy main street and boutique cafe district, taking an extra 10 minutes to soak in the vibrant neighborhood atmosphere filled with charming independent shops. Finally, we take a 10-minute return walk together to end the journey at Gyeongbokgung Station (Exit 1) by 1:50 PM.
