Borobudur was built by King Samaratungga who ruled in the period 782 - 812 AD, Syailendra Dynasty. This Borobudur Temple was founded to glorify Mahayana Buddhism. The composition of the Borobudur Temple building consists of nine terraces and a parent stupor at the peak. The nine terraces consist of six square -gifted terraces and three circular terraces.
The form of architecture of the Borobudur Temple in the form of half a ball represents the teachings of Buddhism, namely three levels in the universe, namely Kamadhatu which is filled with human reliefs with lust (the world of desire) and Rupadhatu which depicts humans fighting their passions (the world shaped). Arupadhatu (the world is not formed). Meanwhile, at the third level, Arupadhatu (the world is not formed) no longer has decoration or reliefs as a form of being bound by elements of the world.
Beside Borobudur temple, you also can enjoy the view of the village surround Borobudur and other two small temples like Mendut temple, and Pawon temple. You can go there depend on the time.
