This is one of the most convenient and enjoyable ways to experience the region, with easy access from Byron Bay, Lennox Head and Ballina, and plenty of free parking on site. This is a self-guided e-bike hire experience. We provide high-quality Bosch-powered German e-bikes, along with helmets, locks, panniers and a full briefing before you ride. Optional route suggestions and local advice are available, allowing you to plan your ride while remaining completely independent. The Northern Rivers Rail Trail is a 24km purpose-built, car-free path through the Tweed hinterland, featuring historic bridges, tunnels and diverse scenery. With flexible hire durations of up to 6 hours, you can ride at your own pace, stop for food and explore along the way. Starting from Mooball offers a quieter and more relaxed experience compared to busier access points, making it ideal for couples, families and independent travellers. Riders access and use the Rail Trail independently as members of the public.
