What you can expect

Beijing doesn’t reveal its secrets all at once. You earn them block by block and meal by meal.

At the heart of the city, historic hutong alleyways are home to generations of families who have cooked, traded, and lived their daily lives just steps from the Forbidden City. Built over 14 years as the political center of an empire, it is China’s largest palace and holds over 9,000 rooms.

Today, that same city hums with modern cafés, art spaces, and glass towers, where old rhythms and new ideas coexist side by side.

This 4 day, food-forward journey dives into Beijing’s many layers. Explore hutong neighborhoods where noodles are still hand-pulled, and taste recipes that have been passed down for decades. Then burn it off with a hike along the Great Wall, known for its steep climbs and dense collection of watchtowers.

From a private dumpling making experience and neighborhood food crawls to iconic landmarks seen through a local lens, the pace is intentionally relaxed, giving you time to absorb stories, ask questions, and of course eat yourself silly.
