What you can expect

Begin your adventure with a convenient pickup from your hotel in Sapa Town or in front of the local main church. After a brief introduction, leave Sapa and head to a small mountain viewpoint where you can enjoy a beautiful panorama, including a view toward Mount Fansipan.

Continue through the scenic Muong Hoa Valley, following a trail that offers breathtaking views of mountains, terraced rice fields, rivers, and local villages. Along the way, see farmers working in their fields, creating an authentic glimpse of daily life.

Reach Y Linh Ho, a small Hmong village. Cross a charming bridge over the river before continuing your trek toward Lao Chai Sán, where you will stop for lunch. The path takes you through endless rice terraces lying quietly under the mountains.

Arrive in Lao Chai Sán for lunch at the home of a local Hmong family. Here, enjoy a variety of delicious traditional dishes. After lunch, continue to Lao Chai, where you are likely to see local people working in the rice fields—planting or harvesting depending on the season.

After about 1.5 hours of walking from Lao Chai, have the chance to learn about local culture, daily life, and even how traditional Hmong clothing is made. Finally, continue trekking to Tả Van village, home of the Dzay minority. From here, a bus will take you back to Sapa.
