What you can expect

  • Travel from Santiago de Compostela into the Ribeira Sacra, a landscape of river canyons, vineyards and monastic heritage. This full-day trip combines a photo stop in Ribeira Sacra, a visit to the Santo Estevo pier, time in Ourense and a stop at San Pedro de Rocas Monastery. The order of visits may vary according to boat and site access.

    At Santo Estevo, you can add a one-hour catamaran cruise through the Sil Canyon for an extra €13 per person. The cruise is not included in the base activity. In Ourense, enjoy 1 hour 30 minutes of free time; an optional 45-minute guided tour is listed in the itinerary.

    The tour departs from and returns to Capilla del Pilar in Santiago. Transport by air-conditioned coach and a guided visit to San Pedro de Rocas are included. Lunch and drinks are not included. Wear comfortable shoes and bring a light jacket and water. The tour is conducted in Spanish and English.
