Laguna Chaxa – Approx. 45–60 minutes

Explore Laguna Chaxa in the Salar de Atacama, an important habitat for Andean wildlife and one of the best-known places in the region for observing flamingos. Walk along the designated trails while your guide introduces you to the salt-flat environment and local fauna.

Altiplanic Lagoons: Miscanti & Miñiques – Approx. 1–1.5 hours

Continue toward the high Andes to visit the Miscanti and Miñiques Lagoons, located above 4,100 meters. Walk through the designated viewpoints and trails while enjoying the contrast between deep-blue lagoons, volcanic peaks, and the surrounding Altiplano.

Piedras Rojas – Approx. 1–1.5 hours

Continue to Piedras Rojas, one of the most striking landscapes of the region. Explore the area on foot and admire the contrast between its red volcanic rock formations, turquoise water, salt flats, and high Andean mountains.

Short scenic and rest stops may be made along the route before beginning the return journey to San Pedro de Atacama.
