What you can expect
Day 1: San Pedro de Atacama to Quetena Chico
Begin your adventure with early morning pickup in San Pedro de Atacama. Travel in a comfortable Mercedes Benz van, ascending 2,000 meters in 45 minutes. Cross the Chilean and Bolivian borders after a hearty breakfast.
Make your first stop at the fascinating Laguna Blanca and Laguna Verde. Admire the striking colors of these high-altitude lakes, surrounded by sacred volcanoes, and take incredible photos.
Next, visit the Salvador Dalí Desert, where surreal landscapes inspire awe and are perfect for photos. Enjoy a relaxing dip in the Polques hot springs, where you can soak in warm waters while watching flamingos.
Afterward, head to the Sol de la Mañana geyser, located almost 5,000 meters above sea level. Marvel at the fumaroles and eruptions in this otherworldly place. Conclude your day at Laguna Colorada, home to Andean flamingos, located in the stunning Eduardo Abaroa Andean Fauna National Reserve.
Have dinner and spend the night in a cozy hostel in the remote village of Quetena Chico.
Day 2: Quetena Chico to Salt Hostel
After breakfast, travel north to the Valley of the Rocks. See fascinating formations like the Camel Rock and the Stone Tree, known for their unusual shapes sculpted by wind and time.
Next, stop at Catal Lagoon, where you can explore the gorge and observe Bolivia's native flora and fauna. Enjoy the serene landscapes and take photos, then enjoy a delicious lunch.
End the day with a restful night at the famous Salt Hostel, where you’ll enjoy dinner and prepare for the next day’s wonders.
Day 3: Salt Hostel to Uyuni
Depart early for the Salar de Uyuni, the world’s largest salt flat. Experience the vast white expanse stretching over 10,000 square kilometers.
Arrive at Incahuasi Island for an unforgettable sunrise among centuries-old cacti. This elevated point offers panoramic views of the salt flat.
Unleash your creativity with perspective photos using props. Visit the Salt Hotel and the Flags Plaza, then marvel at the Eyes of the Salt Flat, where volcanic bubbles emerge in vibrant hues.
In Colchani, shop for unique souvenirs before visiting the Uyuni Train Cemetery. This place, as mysterious as it is fascinating, showcases Bolivia’s industrial past.
After lunch at a local restaurant, return to your agency in Uyuni for customs formalities, then head back to Quetena Chico for another night of rest.
Day 4: Quetena Chico to San Pedro de Atacama
After breakfast, begin your journey back to San Pedro de Atacama. After the tour, take a short walk through the village to rest and get to know the surroundings, especially at sunset. Later, organize your travel records, such as photos and notes from the tour. Finally, exchange impressions with other travelers, enhancing the experience without additional expenses.
