What you can expect

Depart from San Cristóbal de las Casas at 4:00 AM to transfer to the Las Nubes ecotourism center. Arrive at the center at approximately 8:00 AM. Visit the Las Nubes ecotourism center, which consists of a set of waterfalls and natural pools that form the Santo Domingo River in its course.

Flowing into the Jataté River, the Santo Domingo River forms natural landscapes that are still in an excellent state of conservation. The facilities are located on the banks of the mighty river.

Santo Domingo is in the area of influence of the Lacandon jungle region, where the abrupt topography of the region through which the river makes its journey forms the fall of water that causes the breeze in the form of a dense cloud, which gives the name to the site, the clouds.
