• Central Bazaar Siyab - Oriental Bazaar with spices, fresh and dry fruits and of course the famous Samarkand bread.
• Hazrat Khizr Mosque The first mosque of Samarkand where the first President of the Republic was buried.
• Shah-i-Zinda The complex consists of about 20 mausoleums. Female tomb of Tamerlan's family. Most importantly, the only place in Central Asia where was buried a family relative person of the prophet.
• Ulugbek Observatory which was built by Ulughbek who was grandson of Tamerlan. Ulugbek is the only astronomer in the Islamic world who was in parallel the head of empire.
• Afrasiyab Museum The only museum in Uzbekistan where preserved frescoes from the pre-arabic period of Central Asia (VII A.C.)
• Samarkand Paper Mill in Konigil whereyou can get acquainted with the unique way of producing paper from mulberry tree, which is made exclusively in the ancient traditions.
