What you can expect
Meet at the entrance to Saint-Paul-de-Vence for an immersive experience in one of the most iconic villages on the French Riviera. Your local guide will welcome you and take you on a walk of over 2 hours through cobbled streets, past houses and artists' galleries, and along panoramic ramparts.
You'll start by discovering the gates and ancient fortifications, before climbing the wall to admire the view of the hills and the Mediterranean in the distance. Along the way, your guide will tell you the history of this hilltop village, its medieval origins, its traditions, and how Saint-Paul-de-Vence became a refuge for artists and writers.
You'll then wander through the alleys full of galleries, workshops, and iconic shops. Stop in a church steeped in history, in front of some remarkable facades, and in the workshops of artists still in business. The guide will punctuate the visit with little anecdotes about the great figures who have marked the village and its surroundings, such as Marc Chagall and the artists linked to the Maeght Foundation, as well as the daily life of the Saint-Paulois at different times.
Throughout the tour, your guide will share their favorite spots, best photo spots, and tips for continuing to explore the village after the tour. The goal: to make you feel like a guest rather than just a tourist.
Whether you're passionate about history, art, or just looking for a nice walk, this tour of Saint-Paul-de-Vence offers you a complete experience: heritage, panoramic views, culture, and art all in one visit.
