Your hiking tour begins at the picturesque harbor of La Madrague, a small haven of peace nestled between the hills and the Mediterranean.
From the very first steps, you will be immersed in the Provençal atmosphere, with the sea as your backdrop.
You will then leave the coastline to continue the hike through the garrigue, where the scents of pine, thyme and rosemary will accompany your gradual ascent.
Once you reach the top of the sand dune, an exceptional geological formation that is thousands of years old, you will enjoy a spectacular panorama of the Bay of Saint-Cyr and the Bec de l'Aigle in La Ciotat. Your guide will explain how this dune has formed over the years.
A break is planned at the summit to take in the view, learn about this unique landscape shaped by time, and of course take as many souvenir photos as you like!
On the way back, you will take a trail through the heart of the vineyards: here, your guide will share the local wine-making history, the grape varieties grown and the importance of the terroir in Saint-Cyr's identity.
This hiking tour has a moderate+ level of difficulty (3.6 km. Elevation gain of 170 meters. Be prepared for a good climb!) and combines nature, heritage and knowledge for an authentic experience between land and sea.
Our four-legged companions are welcome, provided they are kept on a leash!
