Day 1: Djerba – Tataouine – Chenini – Sabria Desert

Morning departure from your hotel in Djerba.

You'll leave the island via the famous Roman road, the ancient road connecting Djerba to the mainland.

First photo stop at the salt lake of Sabkhet Chahbania, an impressive natural landscape typical of southern Tunisia.

Continue to Tataouine, a region known for its Berber heritage and traditional ksour.

Sightseeing:

• Chenini, a beautiful Berber village built on the mountain
• Ksar Hadada, an old fortified granary famous for being a set in the Star Wars movie

Traditional lunch.

In the afternoon, we'll head to Douz, nicknamed the gateway to the Sahara.

Continue to Sabria, at the gates of the great desert.

You'll arrive at the Dunes Insolites desert camp.

Welcome with Saharan tea and settle into your traditional Bedouin tent.

At sunset, enjoy a magical moment on the dunes around the camp: sitting on traditional carpets, sandboarding, taking photos, and contemplating the Saharan landscape.

Head back to camp for an authentic evening.

Day 2: Desert – Matmata – Toujane – Back to Djerba

Breakfast at the camp in the calm of the desert.

Head to Matmata, famous for its troglodyte houses dug into the earth.

Visit a traditional troglodyte dwelling and discover the Berber way of life.

Continue to Toujane, one of the most beautiful Berber villages in southern Tunisia, perched in the Dahar mountains.

Lunch.

Head back to Djerba in the afternoon.

We'll transfer you and drop you off at your hotel.
