Discover one of the least touristy areas of the Sacred Valley on our excursion to the Andenes de Yucay, ancient Inca terraces still cultivated by local communities. Here, Andean rural life is preserved, in harmony with the land and far from the hustle and bustle of tourism.
You will hike through peaceful landscapes, surrounded by mountains and lush fields, observing the daily work of the farmers and spending time with families who keep ancient traditions alive.
A unique experience, perfect for those seeking the authenticity of the Andean world and who enjoy getting off the beaten track.
Inkariy Museum (Museo Inkariy):
During our tour, we will also visit the Inkariy Museum, an incredible space dedicated to the history of Peru's pre-Hispanic cultures.
Founded by the Mérida family, the museum offers a journey through civilizations such as Caral, Chavín, Paracas, Nazca, Mochica, Wari, and, of course, the Inca culture.
The tour features themed rooms with exhibitions of art, ceramics, and clothing, as well as dioramas and hyperrealistic mannequins that recreate scenes of ancient life and rituals.
Without a doubt, this is one of the most interesting cultural stops in the Sacred Valley.
Ceramic workshop:
During this day, we will also visit the Seminario ceramic studio and gallery, a place where the tradition of Andean ceramics comes to life.
Founded by artists Pablo Seminario and Marilú Behar, this space combines ancestral techniques with a contemporary style, drawing inspiration from Peru's pre-Hispanic cultures.
We will have the opportunity to benefit from the expertise and expert guidance of our hosts during a workshop where we will learn a little more about this ancient art.
