What you can expect

We’ll meet near Tivoli’s train station. Its’ possible to get there from Rome by catching a train, which runs every 30/40 minutes.
Begin your tour by discovering the ancient city of Tibur. We’ll walk along the Aniene River, heading to its banks and observing the tomb of the Vestal Cossinia.
We’ll then move towards the village, crossing the rebuilt Gregorian Bridge, from which it will be possible to observe the drop of the Aniene River as well as the magnificent and still well-preserved Temple of Vesta (1st century BC).
Next, we’ll move towards the town center, first visiting the Jewish quarter where Nobel Prize winner Emilio Segrè was born and we’ll then head toward the 12th-century church of San Biagio, and then proceed toward Rocca Pia.
From Rocca Pia we’ll move towards Villa D'Este, a wonderful historic villa and world heritage site.
The visit to Villa D’Este includes its famous fountains and gardens. After visiting Villa Adriana, it’ll be possible to visit the Sanctuary of Hercules Victor and the Roman amphitheater.
