Discover one of Rome’s most fascinating hidden treasures on a guided visit of San Clemente Basilica and its underground excavations. With a licensed guide, descend through layers of history: from the medieval basilica to the 4th-century church below, then into ancient Roman rooms and the Mithraeum beneath the city.
Please note: until mid-2027, scaffolding will be present in the upper Basilica only.

Arrive at the entrance at least 15 minutes before the time indicated on your ticket.
The entrance to the Basilica and the excavations is located in Piazza di San Clemente.
Please look for the guide holding a Gyash Tours flag.
A reservation is required to access the archaeological excavations.
