By visiting Nîmes *, walking through the charming medieval town of Uzès (where the aqueduct started) and finishing by a masterpiece of Roman construction, the Pont du Gard, you will be part of 2000 years of history.
Next is a walking tour of the charming medieval town of Uzes (under the label of City of Art and History) where the aqueduct started. Free time for lunch and to see the whole town from an old tower (April 1st - November 1st). 2.5 hours in total. Markets on Wednesday and Saturday.
On the way to the pont du Gard, stop for 30 minutes at the start of the aqueduct to see the spring of l’Eure.
Spend up to two hours to see the pont du Gard, the part of the aqueduct that goes over a valley and the Gardon river.
