What you can expect

  • Rodrigues Island is not Mauritius. No crowds, no rush — just pristine, untouched reefs in the heart of the Indian Ocean. Alex Salamander Diving (S30677) is the island's first and only PADI certified Dive Centre, and this is your invitation to discover what lies beneath.
Your Discover Scuba experience begins with a pool orientation where your dedicated PADI instructor introduces you to the equipment and teaches you everything you need to feel safe and confident underwater. Then you board our boat and head to one of Rodrigues' most beautiful reef sites.
Your first breath underwater is a moment you never forget. Our instructor stays with you every second — guiding you through the coral, showing you the marine life, and making sure you feel completely at ease.
Add Capture the Moment to your booking — professional underwater photos and video delivered to you the same day. The reef will still be there tomorrow. Your first dive only happens once.
