Explore the Drava, one of the last preserved European valley rivers and its surrounding Podravina region. This fresh clear river, protected as a Biosphere reserve, still keeps its meandering flow and provides a habitat for a vast variety of plants and animals. Take a swim in the cool water, sunbathe on the pebble beach and relax in the shade of poplar trees. Learn about the complex natural and cultural history of living next to a river which forms a border between Croatia and Hungary.

After the refreshing river you will be treated to a lovely 3 course lunch at a Michelin recommended restaurant Fakin in Legrad, a picturesque Podravina village.

After lunch, visit the Gallery of Naive Art in Hlebine, the birthplace of the most idiosyncratic Croatian art style. Naive art of Podravina is a unique way of painting on glass, depicting the life of small village farmers in an ofter whimsical and comical way. The members of the Hlebine art circle found a considerable level of fame, holding exhibitions in some of the most famous museums and galleries of the world.

Finish the day with a short culinary workshop of štrukli, a traditional pastry filled with fresh cottage cheese, on a small family estate of Sunčano Selo, Jagnjedovec.
