  • Rio Celeste Hike: 2.5km (1.5 miles one way). About 5.9km(3.7 miles) to the waterfall and back to the entrance(including the stairs). Approximately 2 hours
  • There are roughly 250 stairs down to the bottom of the Rio Celeste waterfall - this is optional.

What you can expect

Hotel Pick up

  • After pick up from your hotel, you will stop for coffee and/or breakfast & driven to your first adventure

Llanos de Cortes Waterfall

  • To begin the day, we will take you to Llanos de Cortes Waterfall, where you can relax and take a swim underneath the falls or explore the flora and fauna.

National Park Hike

  • Following Llanos de Cortes, we will continue our journey to the Tenorio National Park. Upon arriving at the entrance, you will start out on a 2-hour moderately difficult hike in the park. Along the trail, you will walk through the rainforest and along the Celeste River, where you can observe one of nature's most intriguing phenomenons. This chemical reaction, due to the volcanic minerals, makes for an astounding sight that can only be experienced at this unique location. This hike is a fantastic opportunity for healthy exercise and unforgettable experiences in one of Costa Rica's most unique hidden gems.

Costa Rican Lunch

  • After your hike, we will stop by a local restaurant for a plentiful Costa Rican-style lunch!

Organic Farm - Sloth and Frog Sanctuary

  • Take a tour of a rural organic farm! You will be taken on an inspiring and educational walk, showcasing natural wonders such as tropical plants, flowers, birds, sloths, frogs, snakes, insects, and many more animals that inhabit the farm.

SELF-DRIVE OPTION:

If you have chosen the self-drive option. You have the choice to begin the tour at Llanos de Cortes Waterfall or at Tenorio National Park. You will follow the tour bus throughout the tour to each location in your personal vehicle. Please let us know which option you choose.
