Α short path through the Saint Anthony Gorge and discover the small chapel tucked among the rocks.
Surprise Local Stop.

Thronos is a picturesque village in the Amari province of Rethymno, built at an altitude of 540 meters on the foothills of Psiloritis, offering stunning views over the Amari Valley. It is known for the ancient city of Syvritos that once stood there, its Byzantine churches with wall frescoes (such as Panagia Throniotissa), and its traditional architecture.

In this village, you will enjoy authentic Cretan flavors along with our food, while taking in the view of Crete’s highest mountain, Psiloritis. The menu includes: Dakos (Cretan salad), fried potatoes, fava, dolmadakia, tzatziki, pork with wine, and a traditional Cretan recipe: chondros with potatoes and zucchini. Wine (500 ml per 4 people) and water will be served. The food will be served on plates for 4 people.
