  • The Old Town of Rethymno stretches out in the shadow of the Venetian fortress of Fortezza, full of alleyways that conceal treasures of architecture and tradition.

    On this walking tour, we will explore the Great Gate, the Rimondi Fountain, the Venetian Loggia, the Neratze Mosque with its impressive minaret, and the neighborhoods with their ornate doorways. We will walk in the shade of beautiful buildings, ending up at the Venetian harbor with the Egyptian lighthouse, while admiring the Fortezza fortress that towers above us.

    As a certified tour guide who grew up in Rethymno, I offer an authentic experience full of knowledge and love for my city. The tour starts from Four Martyrs Square, near the Megali Porta, and ends on the ring road below the Fortezza, where, depending on the season, you can enjoy the beautiful sunset.
