Join us for a 5-hour culinary adventure in Reggio Emilia featuring a guided visit and tasting at a Parmigiano Reggiano dairy farm, grocery shopping for fresh ingredients, a traditional aperitivo, and a hands-on cooking class to prepare tortelli in a local apartment—with round-trip transportation from Reggio Emilia train station included. Cook, eat, and connect like a local—nonna would be proud!
Our day begins at 8:30 AM at the Reggio Emilia train station (Piazza Guglielmo Marconi). From there, we’ll head to a traditional Parmigiano Reggiano dairy farm, where you’ll witness the fascinating process behind the world’s most iconic cheese. After a guided tasting, you’ll also shop for fresh ingredients directly at the farm—essentials for the cooking class ahead.
Then, we’ll return to my apartment in the city of Reggio Emilia, where you’ll be welcomed with a traditional aperitivo featuring Lambrusco wine and Erbazzone, our signature savoury pie.
Next, it’s time to roll up your sleeves and join a hands-on cooking class, where we’ll prepare tortelli di ricotta e erbette—fresh pasta filled with ricotta, spinach, and Swiss chard, just like our grandmothers (nonne) used to make. You’ll learn traditional techniques in a relaxed and homey atmosphere.
