What you can expect

Begin your adventure with a 45-minute drive into the famous Skippers Canyon. Marvel at the breathtaking views and hear stories of fortune and hardship from the gold rush era as you travel along the historic Skippers Road.

Upon arrival, gear up with all the necessary equipment, including wetsuit boots, a wetsuit or overpants, a spray jacket, a fleece, a buoyancy aid, and a helmet.

Next, take to the water at the “Ford of Bruinen,” made famous by the Lord of the Rings movie. Enjoy a gentle scenic excursion packed with fun for everyone from 3 to 103 (older by arrangement).

Float down gentle Grade 1 and 2 rapids, taking in the stunning scenery. See gold mining relics, sheer canyon walls, and even get to play on the odd rock jump.
