The excursion begins with transfers from hotels or meeting points to the main harbor. Transfers start 15-20 minutes before the start of the excursion.
Day 1: Uros Islands and Amantani
Start your adventure at 8:00 AM by sailing to the floating islands of Uros, built with totora reeds by an ancestral community that lives on the water. Learn about their history, their homes, and their traditional way of life for approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.
Then, head to the magical island of Amantani, sailing for approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes, where you will be welcomed by a local family with whom you will share an authentic experience. Enjoy a typical lunch, climb to the Pachatata or Pachamama vantage point to watch the sunset over the lake, and take part in a cultural evening with traditional music and dance.
Day 2: Taquile
After breakfast in Amantani, at 7:30 in the morning, head to Taquile Island, famous for its community organization and its UNESCO-recognized textiles. Wander its trails, enjoy a local lunch overlooking the lake, and learn about its customs. Finally, you arrive in Puno at 3:00 to 3:30 PM, where the bus will be waiting for your transfer.
