Walk through the historic center of Puerto Vallarta to the Emiliano Zapata Municipal Market. Stop at tortilla shops, fruit stands, butcher shops, and spice stores. Enjoy tastings and learn about local ingredients. Return to the restaurant in an air-conditioned van.
Next, take part in a hands-on Mexican cooking class led by Chef Julio Castillón, a gastronomist and federal tour guide. Prepare traditional recipes, including guacamole, avocado salsa, molcajete salsa, salsa macha, pico de gallo, pineapple pico, and ceviche tostadas. Make handmade tortillas and cook mole poblano with over 40 ingredients. Depending on the day’s menu, make tacos or chiles rellenos.
Finally, enjoy a full tasting of all the dishes you prepared on the rooftop terrace with views of Banderas Bay and the Church of Guadalupe. Savor a welcome agua fresca, access the Mexican salsa bar, and receive a digital recipe book (E-Book) with all the recipes. Take home a shopping bag with local products.
