Begin your adventure with a pickup from your meeting point in Puerto Maldonado. Head deep into the jungle, to a place known as the gateway to the Peruvian Amazon rainforest.
Embark on your nighttime jungle excursion, spending three hours exploring the trails that wind through the Amazon rainforest. Under the moonlight, walk through the lush vegetation of the jungle and stroll along the Tambopata River. Stop on the riverbank to listen to the different sounds that fill the air.
Walk along the Tambopata Ecotourism Corridor to reach the Tambopata National Reserve. As you pass between exotic trees and plants, stay alert to spot the creatures that roam the jungle at night: snakes, tarantulas, and, if you're lucky, maybe even leopards and night monkeys.
At the end of your nighttime excursion, leave the jungle behind and return to the city of Puerto Maldonado. Take a leisurely stroll through the Plaza de Armas of Puerto Maldonado, where you can rest, observe the local dynamics, and take photos of the Amazonian urban environment.
