These excursions last 3 hours. The difficulty level of this excursion is minimal. The only requirement for guests is to have the mobility needed to get into the 4x4 vehicle, which is a little higher than a conventional vehicle. Then, if needed, guests can stay inside the vehicle during the excursion, or they can get out at the scenic viewpoints to explore the area, take photos, and enjoy the landscape.
The aim of this tour is to give tourists the chance to enjoy a completely different, highly personalized experience and to discover some beaches and areas of Puerto Madryn that only we locals know about, but that tourists don't usually have the opportunity to visit.
We will pick up passengers from their accommodation. Then we'll start driving along the city's waterfront, passing through the beach club area and focusing on explaining the city's tourist seasons to guests and telling them how the beach clubs operate, with all the activity options they offer.
Next, we'll head to the Punta Cuevas or Curva del Indio area, where we'll give a brief explanation of the arrival of Welsh settlers in the area.
Continuing with the excursion, we'll take the inter-beach route that leads us to the Punta Loma Reserve, making 3 key stops so that passengers can enjoy a unique view, take photos, and admire the variety of landscapes. Our first stop will be in the area around the sand dunes, so that we can take in the surroundings.
After this, we'll visit the Punta Este area, making two strategic stops so that guests can enjoy one of the most beautiful landscapes of the tour. You'll be able to see hidden beaches with translucent waters and identify much of the intertidal zone, allowing us to explain the main features of these intertidal ecosystems.
Continuing our tour, we'll stop next to the Paraná Beach beacon to enjoy the view of the shipwrecked Folias and the Paraná Beach area, with a stop so that guests can get to know the area.
We will then enter Punta Loma Reserve so that passengers can walk along the Flora Trail and then observe the sea lions.
Finally, we'll arrive at the Cerro Avanzado area, where we'll head to the middle section of the hill to observe the sedimentary layers. Here, you'll be given a talk on the geology specific to the area.
To wrap up the excursion, we'll head to Cerro Avanzado Beach, where we'll offer passengers an herbal tea in our reusable plastic cups, which bear a message related to the theme that reads “One less cup in the oceans,” along with a snack.
