Overview

  • Puerto Limón is more than Costa Rica’s Caribbean port—it is where Afro-Caribbean culture, tropical agriculture, coastal communities, and the sea come together.

This relaxed shore excursion reveals those connections beyond the waterfront. Experience Cahuita’s laid-back character, discover how bananas, cacao, cassava, and tropical fruits have shaped the region, and pause beside the Caribbean at Playa Bonita before exploring the streets of Puerto Limón.

With an easy pace and a thoughtful mix of scenery, culture, and local life, this tour gives you a fuller picture of Puerto Limón than the one visible from the pier.
